Ponniyin Selvan 2 is off to a solid start at the box office with a sizable opening day take. Mani Ratnam helmed this second entry in the saga, and it allegedly earned 38 crore rupees on its first day of distribution across all networks.
The movie made $25 crore in Tamil Nadu, according to a report on Sacnilk. For comparison, the first day of sales for the franchise’s first film brought in 40 crore.
