Following the theft of her wedding band and engagement ring from a posh hotel in West Hollywood, Los Angeles, actress Lily Collins was left in shock. The startling occurrence took place as the 34-year-old celebrity was having a calm spa day. She had put her rings and other treasures in storage, but was shocked to find that they had been taken. The incident is being treated severely by the authorities since it is considered to be “over $10,000.”
There have been no arrests as of yet, but the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department is still looking into the crime. According to TMZ, there were no indications of a forced entrance where Lily kept her possessions, which has prompted detectives to believe that the heist could have been an inside operation. In an effort to find any leads on the burglars, police are meticulously scrutinising the hotel’s CCTV footage.
Charlie McDowell, the director who is now Lily’s husband, worked with Irene Neuwirth Jewellery to create a stunning engagement ring for Lily. A beautiful rose-cut diamond set in the ring, believed to weigh between two and three carats and be valued over £60,000, was the focal point. A small ceremony was held in Dunton Hot Springs, Colorado, the following year after the pair announced their engagement in September 2020.
The loss of her priceless jewellery would be a sad blow to Lily, who previously raved over her engagement ring and that it was “exactly what she wanted.” In addition, the actress stated that she would “love to have a family” if she were to marry Charlie. As soon as they met, the pair fell in love. The couple met while working on the set of Charlie’s movie, Gilded Rage, in 2019.
Lily and co-star Zac Efron of the 2012 film “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile” had a brief love relationship. Prior to his relationship with Lily, Charlie had dated the actors Rooney Mara and Rooney Clarke, as well as Hilary Duff and Emilia Clarke.
