Priyanka Chopra recently discussed her choice to freeze her eggs when she was 30 years old. When she made the decision to go through with the procedure, which required her to receive injections for more than a month, she said she was filming for her TV programme Quantico. She remembers how costly and unpleasant it was.
2018 saw the marriage of Priyanka Chopra and singer Nick Jonas. Through a surrogate, the couple had their first child, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, last year. In the US, Malti was born.
Priyanka recently described the procedure of preserving her eggs on a podcast. She stated on the UnWrapped Podcast, “I made the decision to do it when I was in my early 30s. I was at the time filming Quantico. You must administer shots to yourself over a month, which is uncomfortable. Your hormones fluctuate up and down. You feel mad as a result. You feel swollen.
Even though I was shooting at the time, I only wanted to do it for myself. You should set aside money because it is pricey. Although it’s not the easiest thing to do, I do recommend it for working women, single women, or women who want to have children but aren’t sure if they should, added Priyanka. As she was in her 30s, she added, she had realised that she needed to “get ahead of a potential problem.”
She also added, “I wanted to be able to have a part of me living on to this world when I leave,” and she said she talked about it with her mother, Madhu Chopra, an obstetrician-gynecologist. Who knows when I’ll get the opportunity to wed the person I want to have children with? I desire children since God has endowed my body and I with the capacity to bear them, the actress reasoned.
The topic of Priyanka preserving her eggs has been brought up previously. In fact, she discussed the criticism she had received for having her kid through surrogacy in a prior interview. She claimed it hurt her when others stated she was “renting a womb” for her child. For more than a year following her birth, Priyanka and Nick withheld the child’s face from the public.
Citadel is Priyanka’s most recent film, and it recently came out. As the Hindustan Times review stated, Priyanka was the best part of the spy-thriller series, it has drawn mixed reviews from both fans and critics.
