Priyanka Chopra explains why she admires Angelina Jolie: “I think her decisions have been really interesting,”
Priyanka Chopra discussed her admiration for Angelina Jolie and how she could identify with the Hollywood star while promoting her new film, Citadel.
Actor Angelina Jolie was a person who Priyanka Chopra revealed she had looked up.
Priyanka Chopra recently discussed a superstar she respects and looks up to. She has been promoting her most recent series Citadel for the past month. She said that while she admires Angelina Jolie’s work and personal decisions, there are also some parallels between them. Since they began their careers at a young age, both actors have grown up in the spotlight.
Angelina Jolie, who made her cinematic debut in 1993 with Cyborg 2, is the daughter of seasoned actor Jon Voight. She did, however, perform previously with her father in the 1982 movie Lookin’ to Get Out. After winning Miss India World and Miss World in 2000, Priyanka made her acting debut as a teenager. With the 2002 Tamil film Thamizhan starring Vijay, she made her acting debut. Alongside Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta, she made her first Bollywood debut in The Hero: Love Story of a Spy (2003).
A user on Twitter posted a video of Priyanka complimenting Angelina and her decisions in life during an interview she gave for Prime Video to promote Citadel. “It’s always amazing to see a queen supporting another queen,” the fan said in the video’s commentary. “Priyanka Chopra talking about all the things she admires about Angelina Jolie.”
In the video, the actor is heard saying, “One of the women I’ve really admired for a long time is Angelina Jolie. She has made some fascinating decisions, in my opinion. In front of everyone, she has sort of grown up, and I experienced the same thing. I began when I was 17 years old. But I believe all of her decisions—in terms of her profession, her life, and her family—to be really respectable.
The actor was sighted in New York City on Sunday with her husband, the actor-singer Nick Jonas. On May 1, the Met Gala will take place. The pair is anticipated to attend. At the Met Gala in 2018, Priyanka and Nick made their public debut as a couple.
Priyanka’s current projects include the romantic comedy Love Again as well as the Prime Video online series Citadel, which stars Richard Madden, Stanley Tucci, and Lesley Manville. Sam Heughan and Celine Dion are her co-stars.
