On Saturday in New Delhi, the actor Parineeti Chopra and the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, Raghav Chadha, got engaged. The location was Kapurthala House, Raghav’s residence in Delhi. Following the ceremony, Parineeti made it official by uploading pictures from the event on her Instagram account.
“Everything I prayed for.. I said yes!” the diva concluded. The two matched in their regular white clothes for the historic day. In the first picture, the star was also showing off her sizable engagement ring.
According to reports, the couple chose a conventional Sikh wedding ceremony. The event reportedly started at 5 o’clock, according to the news agency ANI. Sukhmani Sahib Path and Ardas were said to have begun the event at 6 o’clock.
Only intimate friends, elected officials, and families were allowed to attend the private event. In the days leading up to the event, Priyanka Chopra, Manish Malhotra, Pawan Sachdeva, Sahaj Chopra, Shivang Chopra, and others were spotted arriving at the location. The attendees included a number of political figures, such as the chief ministers of Delhi and Punjab, Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann. Tight security was in place at the location, and cell phones were not permitted.
Raghav was captured on camera drinking chai only hours before getting engaged. He dressed in a plain white kurta-pyjama.
When Parineeti and Raghav were spotted together for lunch in Mumbai in March, dating suspicions about the two of them started to circulate. They have since had several public appearances together. Neither Parineeti nor Raghav responded positively or negatively when the media questioned them about the rumours. The pair did, however, continue to have sporadic dinner dates. When questioned by the press when their wedding was, they never responded, with the most common query being “shadi kab hai.”
The London School of Economics was where Parineeti and Raghav reportedly met. Long-term friendship has existed between them. Additionally, she is planning the release of Capsule Gill, a film starring Akshay Kumar. Raghav Chadha, however, is the head of the Aam Aadmi Party and a parliamentarian.
